5@theLake results for last Saturday

  • the ninth in the 2018-19 “5@theLake” series, of eleven runs in all
  • 39 starters
  • 2 pbs
  • 2 best times in this series
  • 8 first-timers
  • only 2 members have run all 9 events this series
  • 114 have started in all events this series

We had 39 starters, including eight first-time starters, many of whom have joined the club in recent days. Steve Pappas was fastest on the day in 20:08 from Paul Webb’s 20:54. In the ladies, Jacqui Viterale in 23:41 held off Sue Chenery by 9 seconds.

This event is not necessarily about the quickest. It really is about doing your best against yourself, ergo the pbs, and maybe then the others in your age categories.

In the point-score, for the first time Sue Chenery outpointed Steve Pappas, by .5 of a point. So close. Well done Sue.
