Heart of the Lake

Welcome to the 2011 ACO Heart of the Lake Fun Run!

Whether this is your first fun run or you are a regular, you will be sure to enjoy this event within the beautiful bush and lakeside setting at Lake Gillawarna near Bankstown.

Bring the family to help cheer you on - better still, get them all involved with a choice of 3km or 10km events and special entry rates for families.

Start training now for one of Sydney's most scenic runs.

Online Entry

Online entries close 6pm on 23 May 2012.
3km - $15
10km - $20
Family of 4 (minimum 1 adult) - $50

Postal Entry

All postal entries received by 21 May 2012
will qualify for the above rates.

Fees for all postal entries received
after 21 May will be:

10km - $25
Family of 4 (minimum 1 adult) - $55

Enter on the Day

You can enter on the day of the event
between 6.30am and 7:45am.

Beneficiaries

This event will aid Bankstown East Hills Handicapped Association and Cancer Council.

Important Information

  • All runners must follow designated course and obey any direction by race officials.
  • Runners must complete the course without outside assistance of any nature
  • All entrants must display the official chest bib number on his or her chest to be clearly identified.
  • No roller skates, roller blades, skate boards, bicycles or animals will be permitted on the course.

Course

Fully marked picturesque lakeside courses at Lake Gillawarna, Georges Hall.

Race Day

On race day you will need to arrive with time to complete your registration. Registration involves collecting your race number and applying the bib to your clothing. You will also receive a timing chip and have it attached correctly. Please also allow time to check your bag into the bag holding area if required.

All results can be viewed online. You can also view the 2010 and 2009 
3km and 
10km 
results.

Location & Parking

To find out how to get to the race start at Lake Gillawarna, visit our location page. There is a carpark within a short walk of the start line as well as parking alongside Henry Lawson Drive

Certificates

Every finisher will receive a certificate upon completion.

Trophies will be awarded to open places in:
10km - Open male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd
10km - 1st local male and female 
3km - Open male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd
3km - 1st local male and female

Medals 
will be awarded to category places in:

10km - 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for each category
3km - 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for each category

Lucky Draw Prizes will be drawn at the presentation after the race. Winners must be present to collect their prize or a redraw will take place.
