Report by Vic Anderson...

We had 53 starters in very muggy conditions. Notwithstanding, we had 15 better their handicap, and 7 claim pbs.

First to cross the mat was Sibel Tenish with her 2nd comeback, from Sandra Riches, requalifying after her surgery, and then Doug Fulford, also on a second qualifier.  All bettered the handicap threshold of 30:00 (bettering handicap by more than the one minute tolerance). Next home was one of our 4 newbies for the day, mother of the speed boys, Lisa Wedgwood.

Next to cross the mats was our trophy winnerMichele Lambkin in her pb time of 18:30, taking 1m15s off her previous best set in June’16. Congratulations Michele. Excellent run!

Next home was Aidan Burgess. Aidan is a relative newcomer to the club and had his first run in the 3.5k, with an impressive 13:35 that was the second quickest run of the day.

Then the homecomers came quick and close ... Bill Rannard with a 30s pb, Pam Green with her best effort in over 6 months, Pat Lewis with a 13s pb, Stephanie Bilic with her best in over 12 months, Gordon McDougall pb, Vateesh Chand pb, Steve Bond, another with his best 12 months ago ... and on it goes ...

Bill and Pam were officially 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Fastest on course were:

David Riches in 12:10, Aidan Burgess  13:35Vateesh Chand  13:45

Stephanie Bilic 14:40,  Raff Aquilina 15:52Mary Sheehan 15:53.

There are a few reports attached, including:

·        the Across the Line results

·        the Monthly result complete with points scored

·        the watch/chip times with a history of runs on the current course

·        the progressive point-score table

·        the progressive fastest male point-score

·        the progressive fastest female point-score

The 3 progressive point-scores are close competitions, and still early days. It is the best nine of twelve scores that matter. 96 have participated so far in the handicap and 12 have completed all 6 runs to date.

Thank you to all so much for participating.

CLUBHOUSE -  CLEAN UP OUR LITTLE BIT OF AUSTRALIA

We have an annual clear up of the Clubhouse, usually this is on Clean up Australia Day. This year the day is the Sunday 5th March 8.30am  to 10.30am. If you have an hour or so come along, should be a bit of fun, you don't have to stay for the whole time. Attached is a poster with the details.

Lisa Wedgwood has offered to provide Morning Tea, now that is an offer which will be difficult to resist.
