2018 January 10km handicap results

Recap – January Handicap

I was remiss in not being pro-active in getting results to our members. Early January is cricket time, Sydney Test cricket time, and I’m a spectator big time; other priorities just slip away, and then time gets away. I apologise.

So a quick recap ... Dean Turner was our winner crossing the mat just one second ahead of Julio Hernandez (our December winner); Martin Dinh was 3rd. Julio had his best run since February’16, and Martin since April’17.

There was only 1 pb on the day, by recent new member Hollee James running her 3rd qualifier, lowering her time from last month by 1m08s to go 50:01. Sub 50 next go eh?

Fastest on the day was our new member, Louise Noble, in the time of 39:43. Louise was enticed by good friend Lilian Molesworth to join our club and run the handicap. Louise just happened to break Lilian’s course record for the ladies (40:32 ran in November’17).

Fastest males were Damian Persen and Steve Pappas who both ran 42:04; the tale of the chip has Damian being the quicker by 10 one-hundredths of a second.
